Shounak Dharap, a partner at Arns Davis Law, leads the Firm’s complex litigation practice group. He specializes in representing workers, consumers, survivors, and others who have been injured or wronged. With a broad practice that includes labor and employment, consumer protection, sexual abuse, civil rights, appeals, and catastrophic injury and death, Shounak has developed a reputation for his creative yet analytical approach to difficult legal issues. He has achieved significant results for his clients and has been appointed as class counsel in federal and state class actions.
At home, Shounak is an elected two-term trustee and former president of the Palo Alto Unified School District Board of Education, which is ranked as the number one unified school district in California. A trained mediator, Shounak previously served on the City of Palo Alto’s mediation program, where he assisted community members by facilitating resolutions to their disputes.
In addition to his legal practice and public service, Shounak is the co-founder and Chief Product Officer of a litigation AI startup. He is also an adjunct professor at the University of San Francisco School of Law, where he teaches a course on applied AI for lawyers.
Shounak is the father of two young girls and enjoys cooking, writing, and working out. His dedication to his clients and community makes him an invaluable leader in the Firm.
